How can I change my state return before filing it?

What exactly needs changing? Some state edits (such as withholdings) are done in the Federal tab.

1099R wages and state taxes are not included in state return

1099-R is for a distribution (not wages). Go to Federal > Wages and Income > Retirement.

Check the data entry for boxes 12-14.

Let me add this: Some states do not tax certain types of retirement income, and thus may not even list it on the state return. Which state, and were state taxes withheld?
