Good morning, I filed my taxes on the 16th of May & my refund was approved was supposed to be sent to my boyfriends account by the 3rd of June but now his bank won’t post the refund because it doesn’t match my name to his account. So it will be rejected and sent back to IRS not sure what to do now? And now when I check IRS where’s my refund it says information does not match and I have been filling everything out correctly

When the bank rejects the direct deposit the refund is sent back to the IRS. The IRS then mails a refund check to the address on the tax return.
I don’t have to contact them correct? And why is it saying my information does not match?

No, you do not have to contact the IRS.
The IRS website has had issues for providing tax refund information on the 2020 tax refunds.
Make sure that you are entering the exact information as shown on the Federal Tax Return, Form 1040. Your Social Security Number, your Filing Status and the whole dollar amount of the federal tax refund as shown on the 2020 Form 1040 Line 34
It had been approved as on Saturday and now it shows that the information doesn’t match
