Hello. This app and website is not at all helpful. I need to view and download my 2021 filed return I want to send them to another tax professional to file an amendment

On the app its usually easy to access previous year tax return however with the new tax year it will not let me get there without filing this years taxes which I have already done with a different tax professional

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Start the 2023 online tax return by entering some personal information then click on Tax Home on the left side of the screen.

On the Tax Home webpage -

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

For a fee of $43 you can get a complete federal tax return from the IRS by completing Form 4506 - http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4506.pdf

If you don't see your prior year tax return when you sign in, you may have more than one account tied to the same email address.

To recover your account, start here. 

Enter your email address and then enter the verification code. The next screen will show you every account name connected to your email and the date you last used it. 

Pick the one that seems most likely to be the one you used last year. You will have to verify it again and will be prompted to change your password. 

You can repeat this as many times as needed to find the account you used in 2021.
