How can I figure out the details of my refund? I'm getting back 2,900 bc i m only getting a federal return due to not working.. I also claimed one dependent and I didn't receive any stimulus money . I'm just curious where they got that $. $2900

We in the Community cannot see your private tax data.

However, please look at lines 16 though 34 on your 1040 - this describes the evolution from assessed tax to refund. Somewhere in this area is the answer to your question.

In particular, I would look at line 27 to see if you received the Earned Income Credit (EIC). This is a credit that can increase the size of your refund if your earned income is modest and you have a dependent (as you do).

Check line 30. If you are married you get 2,400 for the first Stimulus payment and 500 for a dependent under 17. But you also should get the second Stimulus payment of 600 for each person.
