I recently opened a case with TaxAudit (i.e. Audit Defense available through TurboTax) concerning an IRS letter I received after I E-filed my return through TurboTax. I was given a case number and assigned a case cooordinator. I promptly sent them all the information they requested (e.g. copy of IRS letter). They took three days to respond with an E-mail that was not particularly helpful. In response I have tried to both E-mail and call the case coordinator (multiple times) to get additional information/clarification on how to respond and have received no response. More than 3 days ahve now gone by. The IRS only gives you a limited amount of time to respond (20 days) and so this lack of response from a service I paid for through TurboTax is a real problem.
Has anyone else had problems with unresponsiveness from Audit Defense? What did you do about it?
