It depends on what you mean by "accepted."    "Accepted" is a term used for the efile status.  Or are you asking if the IRS has "approved" your refund?

If you recently efiled, you should get an efile results about 24-48 hours later (often sooner), that says if your efile is accepted or rejected.     Go to the Tax Home page.  What does it show about your efile; i.e., which of these terms:  pending, accepted, rejected, printed, started, or what?

If the Tax Home confirms that your efile was accepted for processing by the IRS, then what do you see at the IRS website when you use the "Where's My Refund" tool?

The IRS uses 3 stages in that tool:

• Return received and is processing
• Refund approved
• Refund sent and an expected deposit date.
