The IRS only began to accept federal returns on Monday January 23. A state return cannot be accepted until the IRS accepts your federal. It often takes a couple of days for the state to be accepted after the IRS accepts your federal return. Keep watching your emails.
Did you e-file? Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return
Okay thank you because my federal was accepted on the 23rd and last year my state was accepted the next day after my federal was so I was just a little worried something went wrong but I’m just going to continue to wait but thanks for the information.
