See this news release from the IRS: The IRS expects about 90 percent of individual tax returns will be prepared electronically using tax software. The IRS reminds taxpayers that, by law, the IRS cannot issue refunds claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) or the Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC) before mid-February.
That's what I'm hearing that they're going it exactly like last yr an holding till mid Feb. But a girl sent me a link that said they was only picking certain 1s to do that with.. So not sure which is true.? That's why I wanted to see if anyone had received theirs yet that has filed with children
The Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act (PATH Act) prevents the IRS from issuing early refunds on any tax return that claims the Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC) and/or Additional Child Tax Credit. The IRS usually begins issuing tax refunds on returns with the EIC or Additional Child Tax Credit in late February. Read more here: Some 2019 federal refunds are delayed due to the PATH Act
