I filed my 2022 taxes with TurboTax. I got a confirmation that said it was accepted by the IRS. I haven't received my payment yet. I have been checking the status through the IRS website. It just says my payment is still being processed. I called the phone number for the IRS local office to find out what is going on. I talked with someone who said I was "selected" for an address verification. He said they would mail it to me within 14 days. I still haven't gotten it. I called the number again to find out what is going on, and this time I wasn't given the option to speak to a live agent. Do you know what's happening, or do you know a number I can call to speak to a live person at the IRS?
Also, would it help to file my taxes again?

No, you cannot file again. The IRS has your tax return and they are processing it. Sometimes they select returns for extra verification randomly; sometimes there is something on the return that triggers the extra processing steps. TurboTax gets no information at all after you file your tax return; TT cannot speed the IRS up for you nor can TurboTax find out what they are doing. This is between you and the IRS. Only the IRS can provide you with information about your return now.

Listen to each menu before making the selection.
First choose your language. Press 1 for English.
Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions." It should then transfer you to an agent.
Thank you for your response and information. It helped me to feel like my return is going through the normal process, and that I will still receive my return. I will try and use your option selection to speak to a live agent at the IRS next week during business hours.
Also, Turbo Tax already withdrew the filing fee from my account. I thought that would be done after I received my refund. Is that not the case?
TURBOTAX TOOK MONEY OUT OF MY ACCOUNT
Did you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund? Is your refund taking an unusually long time to arrive? Or was your refund seized to pay a debt you owed? if so, you signed an agreement that says TT can withdraw its fees from your account. TurboTax would have sent several emails to you before they took the money out of your account.
