Form 8962

My federal return has been rejected twice because it does not include Form 8962.  This is despite the fact that TurboTax twice said the federal return was fully ready to be sent!) I have entered the 1095A data exactly as on the form, but the software will not send a Form 8962 with the return. And then my return is rejected.  Is there any way to override the electronic return so that I can include a Form 8962 on my return? I would prefer not to send it in the mail.

If you did not receive the Advance Premium Tax Credit and do not qualify for the credit, a form 8962 would not be filed or need to be filed.  I don't know any details from your tax return.  You could try deleting your Form 1095-A information and re-enter it.

Form 8962

I tried deleting the 1095-A information and reentering it, but there was no change in the return. There appears to be a glitch in the system.  I just went ahead and sent the return by regular mail. I'm disappointed in Turbo Tax and may look for other tax software.

Form 8962

If your tax did not change when you removed the Form 1095-A, then you likely don't have a premium tax credit. According to the instructions of Form 8962, you would not need to file the form if you didn't have a premium tax credit (PTC). I'm not sure why you got the IRS notice then.
