Form 8692 Hold Up

I filed my taxes by mail not knowing the reason they weren't accepted electronically was because I needed an 8692. Original taxes filed 4/15/24 and on 6/4/24 I got a letter requesting the 8692. I submitted that electronically per the IRS request, and haven't heard anything since and it is now 10/29/24. My account shows my return is "not processed". I've been calling and waiting on hold for an hour at a time between work clients trying to get an answer as to why my return shows "not processed". My healthcare coverage is through the marketplace and they've sent me a notice stating if it isn't processed I'll lose my coverage. My husband is currently in chemo and we can't lose coverage. Why is this taking so long? How long should it take? I have a letter dated 6/4/24 stating they received my return but are awaiting my 8692; I have a receipt for submitting the 8692; I paid everything I owed. This is so confusing and upsetting.

Form 8692 Hold Up

Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.

Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 3 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.
