I called the IRS to follow up on my refund status and I was told that they did not receive Form 8379 with my tax return. What can I do?

Form 8379 is for an Injured Spouse Allocation - https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-8379

Complete, print, sign, date and mail the form to the IRS.

See this TurboTax support FAQ for a Form 8379 - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/accessing/help/how-do-i-file-form-8379-injured-spouse-allocation/01/26228

Why wasn't form 8379 included when I filed this year as it did last year?

The Form 8379 has to be completed by you for each tax year, it is not automatic.

    To complete a Form 8379 -

    • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
      Click on Other Tax Situations
Scroll down to Other Tax Forms
On Miscellaneous Tax Forms, click the start or update button

On Report an innocent or injured spouse claim, click the start or update button
Or enter injured spouse in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to injured spouse
