Greetings, I finished my return. When I click on the "errors" icon, there is no error message appearing BUT there are three ! explanation points next to my three Forms 8283 from the list on the left hand side. On the list on the left hand side it says Form 8283 Copy 1,2 and 3 are not done.
Your advice would be appreciated.
FYI I've been using Turbo Tax for over 30 years and this is the first time this has happened.
Thank you, Bruce

Thanks very much. You made my day.....
This is by far the worse experience I've had with Turbo Tax! I completed my taxes on January 16th waiting for them to upload or fix what ever errors they may have with form 8283. Went in today and it looked like the form was ready. Only to find out it wasn't and they are telling me I need to mail in my return! I have never mailed in my return before. The initial date for form 8283 to be ready is 2/6/25 now they're saying it won't be ready until 2/13/25. I called to speak with a representative and they attempted to help but couldn't figure out what the issues were. With my research I found out this isn't an IRS issue it is a Turbo Tax issue!! I will not be filling my taxes with TT next year!
Thank you shutterspeeed339 for taking one for the team!
I also am getting the message from TurboTax to file by mail because of the 8283 forms, so from my standpoint it still an open issue. I will be following this message thread in hopes that Intuit will get this rectified.
Seriously! I am terribly concerned with having to mail in our printed returns. I am old enough to remember having to mail my returns in the past, way before online return submissions.
Fingers crossed, prayers sent, that Intuit can resolve this 8283 form issue! I wonder if H&R Block has this issue? just saying.
