On Form 4952 Line 5a includes interest and dividends and excludes interest and dividends from K-1's. Line 5b is suppose to have interest and dividends from K-1's but the TurboTax program does not seem to add into line 5b the interest and dividends that were backed out from line 5a. is that an error in the program or am i missing something. it seems easy enough to account for by just adding back in the "other" line below, but wanted to make sure i am not missing something.

Line 5b will report the net investment income from the K-1 schedules. For a Form 1065 K-1, that would be line 20 code A. For a Form 1120S it would be line 17 code A. For Form 1041 it would be line 14 code E. These amount may differ from what is reported as interest or dividend income reported elsewhere on the K-1 forms.
Thanks.
Thanks - on Form 4952 does Line 14 E also include capital gains
