Form 3531

I got a letter from irs form 3531 asking me to sign my turbo tax federal return also to send in my W2s cause of a federal tax withheld issue I found the problem where I don’t have to send it in can I just do a amended return?

NO ... you cannot amend the return since the original return has not finished processing. 

Follow the IRS instructions as directed ... sign the return and send the W-2 form as directed and they will make the correction.

Ok ... you are talking on 2 sides a fence ...  either they finished processing the return and sent you a refund  OR   they sent back the return for a signature and a W-2 form...  it cannot be both.
