After your return is processed and your tax liability settled you can amend your return.

if you get the refund you were expecting you will need to amend it.  it is also possible that the IRS will catch the omission and send you a notice which may either say your refund has been adjusted or request an amended return, look for it and read it carefully. if you have questions, post back in this thread.
