Im trying to access my 2016 tax return. upgrade option is greyed out. i also followed the intructions to add a state etc. already filed my 2017 tax return.

First, make sure you are in the same TurboTax account as previous years. Then, see the attached link and refer to the last bullet point. It details how you can upgrade so you can gain access to the 2016 tax return you filed using TurboTax.: 

• You already filed your 2017 return. Select Search in the top right corner, type “PLUS Option” in the Search box and select the search icon. Next select Contact Us and then the “Talk to an expert” option. You’ll now be able to select Get Plus benefits and follow the prompts. Once you’ve paid, go back to the Tax Home and look for Load Tax Home
