Filing 2023 taxes and routing number is not accepted

Trying to get direct deposit and the 2023 Turbo Tax App, purchased from Amazon, downloaded with a key and everything. It keeps asking for the correct routing number. I entered the routing number for direct deposits directly from the WF app. Why am I spending money on this app if it will not work properly?

If you are using Desktop Software:

1. Open TurboTax software, then open the file you are working on.
2. Open the "forms" tab at top left.
3. Scroll down to where the banking information is and the routing box will be yellow with the routing number and the word routing number behind it.
4. Clear the box and move the cursor out of the box, then re-enter the cursor in the box and enter your routing number and that should fix it.

Thank you Cynthiad66 for the quick response. I am not using a browser to file taxes, I'm using the app, downloaded from Amazon, and there are no cookies to delete associated with this app.  The computer has been restarted, and I have attempted to send the return again with no change. The app continues to send us back to the "enter routing number" screen. 

Again, not using a browser, using the desktop application installed from Amazon. How would we go about clearing the cache for the application using a Mac?

A few banks use different routing numbers for checks and for direct deposits. Verify the number with your bank.

Thank you for the reply. Per my original post, I verified the routing number is the one used for direct deposits.

If you are using TurboTax Online, this situation has been reported to the developers for resolution as soon as possible. 

If you are using a CD/downloaded version of TurboTax, use the following steps to overcome the error conditions preventing direct deposit:

1. While on the screen asking you to enter your banking information for direct deposit, click the Forms button in the upper right corner of the screen.
2. This will open the Info Wks where there are two items that need attention.
3. Check the Yes box highlighted in pink beside the question Do you want to elect Direct Deposit of any Federal refund?
4. Go to the routing number field and delete all of the extra characters entered after your nine-digit routing number. 
5. Click the Step-by-Step button at the top right corner of the screen to go back to the filing choices and continue to file your return.
