Filed Incomplete 2021 Returns

I just e-filed my 2021 returns (an hour ago) and both federal and state have already been accepted, but I discovered that I failed to include a 1099SA in the returns.

What should I do?  Is it possible to withdraw the returns after they have been accepted by both Federal and State?

No, you can’t withdraw it. After your return is processed and your tax liability settled you can amend your return.

Thank you.  Do I have to wait for the refunds from both Federal and State before I amend the returns?

Yes. Wait until your refunds have been received and deposited.

If your tax return has been accepted, you aren't able to make any changes. You'd need to amend your tax return. Follow the instructions in this help article to do so.
