I filed my taxes on 1/27, and I still have not received my refund but I’ve noticed my friends who filed just a week ago have already received theirs... I thought the people who file early are supposed to receive theirs first?

Filed early
No the IRS does not process First In First Out. The main reason to file early is to head off any Identity Thieves. However, you have to wait until all your tax forms come in, which may not be until February. Also, the IRS did not officially open tax season until Feb 12. Please see this:
