Federal taxes corrected by IRS; occured before submitting State taxes

The IRS corrected my submitted taxes.   This was before I had submitted my State taxes.  I used the original federal tax data to then submit my state taxes.  It made no difference on the state refund whether I used the original data or used corrected (not amended)  federal data.  Amending the federal form assumed I had already submitted the state form, so I couldn't do that to submit my state taxes

So for next year, do I amend the federal form now and just not submit it, and use that as my starting point for next year?

You will need to adjust your prior year numbers next year when 2023 is transferred in.
