Ok i got a form from my federal tax return this year 2024 wanting identity verification and so i called them talked to a lady for about 30 min giving her all my information that she needed ans answerd her questions that she was asking me at the end of the conversation. She said, okay, sounds good. I'll put a note in that you are who you are and you.You can check  back in around two weeks to see if your taxes have been sent!!! It's been 3 weeks still not federal tax return 

   So i know received a letter from the Oregon. Turn on revenue My state return, stating that I need to provide two more pieces of information to my state.That is a w2 or all of my 1099.. will this state issue NOW HOLD UP MY FEDERAL TAX RETURN OR WILL FEDERAL CONTINUE TO PROCESS  AND SEND ME MY FEDERAL RETURN.... or do they wait tell state has what there asking me for??????????? I'm lost

Your federal return should continue to process while the state is verifying your identification. Federal and state return processing is separate.
