I filed my Federal and state tax electronically using TurboTax desktop version on 5/7/2020. I have not received my federal refund yet (I owed state tax and I paid). When I checked with IRS "where is my refund?" site, it simply said it is under review (see below message). It didn't mention that I will receive any written notice in 30 days. What will be the case?
For refund information, please continue to check here, or use our free mobile app, IRS2Go. Updates to refund status are made no more than once a day.

TurboTax gets no information about the status of tax refunds. You would have to contact the IRS for why your return is being reviewed.
Here is some information about the process: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/articles/community-news-announcements/where-s-my-tax-refund-how-to...
Use this procedure to call the IRS:
Call the IRS: 1-800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Monday-Friday
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 4 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.
