Federal Tax Rejection 2021

Completed federal and state income tax returns for 2021 using turbotax deluxe. Went through the turbotax check and e-filed. The e-file returns were rejected for the following reason with the federal: The primary taxpayer's AGI for 2020 or Self-select PIN for last year does not match.

The 2020 federal return was submitted as a hard copy (not e-file). We checked a copy of the 2020 submitted federal return and the AGI from line 11 of the 1040 was used. I don't know what my self-select PIN number from last year is. After getting the reject notice, I went to e-file checking status and confirmed the AGI for 2020. That is all I was able to do. Whatever the PIN number was, I did not enter it.

Have you tried to file the return and enter 0 for the AGI? If not, you can try that.
