Federal return rejected again and again for the same reason.

My return was rejected due to a missing 4972 form. What can be done to remedy this?

form 4972 will not be available until the end of March on Turbotax.

so you'll have to wait til the form is ready so you can e-file. or prepare the form manually. then you'll have to mail in your return

That's not what I paid for by using turbotax. Seems like a waist of my money and time. All of the forms for my tax return were supposed to be supplied with my return and I should not be responsible for providing them myself. What a rip off. Looks like false advertising to me.

The IRS must approve TT's version (programming) of the form before it can be released, which is why there is a delay.

So the program wasn't really ready to go? I understand that the IRS might be slow with its limited staff but shouldn't there be a disclaimer to the users about the forms in turbo tax that might not be approved at this time?
