I think I've waited long enough for a stimulus it's about that time and it's accepted so why isn't it going direct deposit ?

Not sure what stimulus you are asking about.   You could get the 1st and/or 2nd one as a recovery rebate credit with your 2020 return.   The 3rd stimulus can be entered on your 2021 return as a recovery rebate credit and will come with your 2021 refund.

Do you mean you filed your return today when the IRS opened? If so, they will begin processing returns today. If your return includes stimulus not received, it will go over to the department for cross checking. If your return is accepted by Jan 24, the first direct deposits will be Jan 31 for those returns that went straight through. Since yours has the stimulus, add 2-3 weeks to the processing time.
