Federal Refund Fraud

My tax return came back $1,480 short from what it was suppose to be. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have scrolled through pages on pages about the same thing happening to people. I have contacted you “TurboTax” and you gave me an answer about contacting the IRS which leads to the offset department. Which I have zero offsets. I try and call back and get no answer. I have used TurboTax throughout my Marine Corps career and have had no problems at all. Now all the sudden this issue arises where your company is stealing money from hard working individuals hoping they won’t catch it. This is truly absurd and plan on making as many people aware as I can.

The third Economic Impact Payment of $1400 per person was sent out in March of 2021. The IRS may be saying you got it and are asking for it again on you return.

Did you have 1400 on 1040 line 30?  That is for the 3rd Stimulus payment.  The IRS shows they already sent it to you.  Didn't you get a deposit last year?

If the IRS thinks they sent it to you but you didn't get it request a trace for a missing third Stimulus payment

yeah, as the others have said there is no fraud here.  You just prepared your return incorrectly and failed to report $1400 of stimulus money received and the IRS caught it.

The other $80 is probably your turbotax fees plus the pay with my refund fees that you agreed to.  It's that simple.  This is your error, not someone stealing from you.
