Question

False and misleading Intuit Email.

My taxes were successfully e-filed via Turbo Tax to the IRS and the State on 3/27/22. This was confirmed via emails from Intuit that the returns were accepted by both entities.

Surprise! Today Turbo Tax sent me an email saying my taxes were not filed yet! But what a minute! My account says otherwise: I successfully submitted them and they and accepted. Who do I believe?

By the way it's virtually impossible to contact Intuit directly. Try going to "Contact" and see what happens!

It is quite common to have multiple TurboTax accounts.  Those emails might be generated from an account in which you started a return but did not finish and went on to use a different account.  That happens a lot.   If you know that you filed and your return was accepted, then ignore the emails.

it may make you happy to know that the FTC is suing TurboTax maker Intuit, saying its ads for "free" tax filing misled consumers.
