Entred wrong account number for direct deposit both accepted when e filed

It happens but you don't have to worry! Your refund will not be deposited into someone else's account. Please see the below for more information:

****IF YOU HAVE ALREADY E-FILED, YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO CHANGE YOUR BANK INFORMATION. 

Unfortunately, without the correct routing number AND account number together, your refund will not come via direct deposit. However, don't worry! You should receive notice from the IRS when they cannot complete the direct deposit via US Mail.  This notice will let you know that a paper check should arrive shortly.
