Efiling 2022 Amended Returns

I filed my 2022 Federal and Colorado return using TurboTax and both have been accepted.  Now I needed to amend both of my returns.  TurboTax allowed me to amend my Federal and State return with my corrections and provided the means to allow for automatic withdrawal out of my checking account for both federal and state amended returns for the amounts I owe.  However, when I selected to preview the actual returns before transmitting, I saw the Federal return instruction sheet was still expecting me to mail the return along with the check for the amount I owe.   That's a direct conflict for what was inputted during the step-by-step process of amending my returns.  I read the ability to efile amended returns is fairly new and maybe I found a bug that has not been corrected?   Help!

You can e-file your amended return.  When you open, preview or print the forms prior to filing, it assumes that you are not e-filing but mailing the amended return.  So, then it provides everything you need to file by mail.  You still have the option to e-file.  Just go through the process of e-filing the amended return then it should be processed accurately.

    Hopefully, this helps.

Thanks for the reply.  I was concerned about the message on the filing instructions on the Federal return regarding mailing my check, as the message on the state return stated/confirmed that I was paying through the direct debit as I had inputted.   I would have expected that both returns would have stated the same that I was paying through direct debit and not instruct me to send anything in the mail.   Historically, I have witnessed the instructions on both federal and state during my initial filing/submittal to be exactly what needs to be done based on my input and not a generic instruction.  However, this is my first time amending a return through e-filing and maybe since e-filing amending returns is relatively new, some minor corrections in the program may be necessary.  Thanks!
