If my refund on the IRS website says still processing does it mean I will be audited?

Mine was just basic tax return, same kids but with those credits. I imported everything in turbotax so i don't know how any numbers are off. Seems fishy. I just think our country is broke lol.

[Edited by Mod] If you recieved a message saying your refund is still processing with no orange or blank bars above stating;Refund Accepted , Refund Approved,  and Refund Sent, your under review. Its also not at random. Cause i get reviewed  every year because my refund tends to get bigger. So dont believe in that random selction lie cause they have tax triggers which aim at any tax refund that increase, to make sure what the its has on file for  you matches like all jobs you worked are included. One question though? If we pay taxes and it take them no time to tle it out our checks why is it so hard to give us the money back. To me its a dumb system that is to stressful and make me want to file exempt and pay since they alway have a reason why they can take my money but cant give it back. I agree with you. So do it really take the 45 days for them to release it? I went back over my numbers and unfortunately they were off. I wish my tax preparer would've caught that

M.brian0124 I think your saying the truth about this.. my refund is always the same every year. Never had problems with irs and suddenly This year just because my refund was bigger by $500 It automatically under "still processed" since Feb 04.Unlike many porple here i DID received a letter from Its saying my refund is under review...

Johnramirez214 the letter stated that reason for it being under review? I still haven't received one and i filed Feb 1. Also did the letter ask you to do anything or tell you when your funds will be released?

The IRS agent said Ill will get a letter in the mail and 45 days is just what they have to say. Since this is the case they should file our W2's for us and not give use these random dates and acceptance emails on maybe money just to say pending and not rejected cause if the math is wrong guess who jas to refile. Fuck the federal reserve

@hairky31 it's a 4464c letter from the IRS you can look it up on Google. The letter simply says my refund was pulled aside for further review... sucks cuz every year with my refund money I always pay my Property taxes...

@hairky21 letter simply says I'm not required to do nothing until they finish conducting there review. I may have to wait probably till April or May till I hear something... this sucks because my return was just simple. Single male, with no dependants !!!!

Just got off the phone with IRS, I filled Jan. 27th was accepted Jan 29th. No updates just the generic code saying it's still processing. Of course I'm also under review with no letter. How is it that they ask you to be patient because they get rushed with returns. Yet they have the time to pull aside a large group of them to be reviewed for 45 days? So still a month to go fingers crossed it doesn't actually take a full 45 days.
