E-file rejected

Hi,

I submitted my daughter's Federal and state late in December 2020 due to an amendment required on my tax filing. IRS took more than six months to clear me. Then I was asked to submit my daughters only by the paper as e-filing is closed. As of March 6, the IRS page did not acknowledge they received it, and I have UPS track delivered to them on December 20, 2020. I understand IRS is busy, and I tried to submit this year's Taxes for her, and it was rejected because I IND-031-04: The primary taxpayers. AGI or self-select PIN does not match IRS records. I don't know what to do now. Please help advise.

Thanks

LV

The IRS does not have her 2020 AGI in their database since the 2020 tax return has not been processed.

Enter a 0 (zero) for the 2020 AGI and e-file the 2021 tax return again.

Thank you very much for your quick response. I will try entering Zero.

Do happen to know what should I do for her 2020 tax return, just wait or re file gain

Thanks

For the 2020 return, just wait and do not file the return again as that would delay the processing of the 2020 return even mort.  The IRS is extremely backlogged with over 8 million tax returns from 2020 still to be processed on top of the 2021 returns being filed.
