Do I need to file a dependent W2 if no taxes were taken out?
I have a 18 yr old, but was 17 in 2016, with a W2 no taxes taken out, and survivor benefits too, how do I file?

You do not enter her income on your tax return. If you can claim her as a dependent, she is not required to file a return unless her W-2 and other taxable income was more than $6300. Her survivor benefits would not be taxable unless 1/2 of them plus her other income exceeds $25,000.
