I got a letter from the IRS about form 8962. I was just going to send them the forms I needed, but I realized that I actually made more than I anticipated I would when I was getting health insurance last year so I thought I may owe the IRS a little bit of money. I was trying to figure that out so I started to amend a return so that I could add form 1095A to see. After I entered the info, it did show that I owe the IRS $173. I was supposed to get a refund that was a lot more than that amount. Do I just sent for 8962 and 1095 to the IRS and they will automatically take that out of my refund or do I actually need to amend my return since my refund will be less?

ONLY send the 1095-A & 8962 as directed and the IRS will recompute the return and send you the correct refund.
