Direct deposit info

Does the irs update banking info as soon as the tax return is e filed and accepted or only after it's been approved? I was accepted on 03/01 and approved march 15. Will I be getting a dd or check for the 3rd stimulus? I didn't file 2019 taxes. Only 2018 and 2020
