Why did the IRS direct-deposit a federal tax refund into my bank account that is $3.74 greater than the amount shown on my return?

If you waited for a long time for your refund it is interest.

The IRS will send a letter of explanation eventually however it is most likely interest since there are cents involved.

If I was supposed to recieve my tax return on 3/11/2024 and i have still not received it and I’ve contacted the IRS and they cannot help, what do I do?
