"....IRS never received it..."
What does it say in your account for 2022? Does it show that the return was accepted? Or does it say something else---like "rejected," "printed," or "ready to mail?”
If the return was not filed successfully, then print it, sign it and date it ink and mail it in.
It says “the information you enterned doesn’t match our records.” There’s no difference in what I entered on the irs where’s my refund and my return on turbo tax. I waited so long because I seen someone where that after 6 months if nothing comes up to refile. The best/only way is to mail it in then? Should I just mail in both returns then at the same time I didn’t do my 2023 yet.
@jashonh Never combine tax returns. Do not put them in the same envelope. And....federal and state go to different addresses!
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.
Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses. Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.
