My return has not been accepted by the IRS. I submitted it 5 days ago. Why is it taking so long?

Turbo Tax submitted my return 5 days ago, but it still has a pending status. Why is it taking so long to 'accept'.

For some reason, it has been taking longer lately. However, TT does not actually "send" the returns to the IRS.

Rather, they sit on TT's servers until the IRS comes and "pulls" them. So it sounds like the delay is at the IRS end.

Did your efile got accepted?
