i filed on March 15th. The Turbo tax site says I will receive on the 5th of april but im confused as to how I will be receiving it ... prepaid card like the state or direct deposit

yes i did .. with my state refund. Will it load onto that card or direct deposit into my bank acct?

How will i receive my federal return?

Yes, if you selected the Visa card as your deposit option, both your Federal and State refunds will come on that card.  When you receive your Visa card your refund won't automatically be on your card until the IRS or State releases your refund. TurboTax only gives you an estimate refund date based on when you file your return. You would actually go by the deposit date the IRS and your State give you.

The IRS states that most Federal refunds are received within 21 days from the time a return has been accepted and a refund option is selected. If you are expecting a refund you can check the IRS website at Where's My Refund and they will give you a refund deposit date. Sometimes it may take a little longer to show up in their system.

To track your State refunduse your state's refund lookup and follow the instructions.
