Not sure that i need to be on turbotax self-employed; would like to preview current year return to see what is showing and where. no problem to pay (long-time customer).

Yes you can view your return online in TurboTax Online, prior to filing - please see the following TurboTax FAQ, "How do I preview my TurboTax Online return before filing?":

did NOT answer the question.  trying to preview return as i'm not sure i need the upgraded turbotax version that i was upgraded to.
