my bank never got my direct deposit, and I verified my account # and their routing # from my TurboTax filing. I saw several comments online where people said Green Dot Bank kept their money, or sent paper checks that never arrived.

The IRS said they sent $630 to the account # and routing # that I filed with --On 6Aug2017, but whoever received it "sent back a credit of $545.xx.-- so the IRS flagged it for investigation..". I talked to my bank, and verified my account # and routing #, but my bank never saw anything that day (6Aug17)

If you requested to have the TurboTax account fees deducted from your federal tax refund, the IRS will send the refund to a third party processor to have the fees and the service charge deducted.  The third party processor will deduct the TurboTax fees plus the service charge and then attempt to direct deposit the remaining refund balance into the account that you entered on your tax return.
