Did and amend now seeing moving forward for processing but has code 971

Try to call them.and it says can't give me information to please call but I can never get through to anyone

Please see this link for other options when checking your amended status return.  Code 971 means the IRS might have requested additional information which is causing it to take longer to process your return.

If you have tried repeatedly to reach out to the IRS and are not having any success, you also have the option of reaching out to a Taxpayer Advocate for assistance.
