Deluxe Errors when I Select Direct Debit to pay Balance Due

I have a +$10k balance due.

 

On the Information Worksheet, Part V,  I check "YES" in the elect direct debit box.  I put a date of 04/14/2024 as payment date with all my bank info.   I have used several different payment dates. 

 

The check box lights up pink and the return now say I have an error.

 

I have tried closing and clearing cache.  

 

What am I doing wrong?

Try the following :

 

1) First, make the date the 10th or 11th.  A weekend date could cause problems and there's too much last-minute stuff going on for the 15th that could foul it up.  Just make sure you e-file by this weekend (6 or 7 April).

 

2)  Yeah, I kind-of noticed that myself.   You can't fully make final arrangements in Forms Mode. You have to go back to step-by-step and go thru the actual e-filing process.  Something that is hidden in the steps, for that e-filing process, finally gets rid of the pinked boxes.....but step thru those e-filing steps slowly to make sure everything is set the way you want.
