i didnt put ty was deceased and now the irs sent me a letter to investagate his taxes ,what do i do

I am sorry that you are going through this, you may have answered yes to this question, when you intended  to answer no:

You should amend the return.  When amending, under 'Personal Info', edit the personal data.  The last question,  asks about if this person has passed away as of 2019.  Change your answer to 'No'.
