After fully completing the tax return forms and attempting to file, I was running into constant problems.  After speaking to a representative, they told me that I would have to upgrade to Deluxe Live in order to figure out where the mistake was coming from.  Instead of spending more money to upgrade, I would like to drop the service in general and find another means of filing.  My experience with TurboTax has not been pleasant and since I had already tried to file, I had already paid the Deluxe fee.  However, the filing never went through.  How would I go about getting a refund from TurboTax, since I plan to use a different means for filing?

Once you paid the ONLINE fee there is no refunding it  however I highly suggest you call and demand a downloaded version instead where you don't need to upgrade at all.  They should have offered you this option to begin with if they could not explain the issue correctly.

Well I was doing my taxes and they are simple no tax credits or deductions just a very basic return I usually file with tax usa and I file both for 14.99 but I decided to try turbo tax because they were offering the loan and that is a whole different story it was a joke but anyways so I start filing my return the program freezes a couple of times well on the last freeze I could not exit the app at all it kept taking me to picking a package and the only one I could pick was the deluxe one or I could not exit the app or move forward with filing my return so I had no choice but to choose the deluxe package so I could finish filing my return and exit the app so once I finished I contacted customer service and reported  what had happened they said don't worry we will take care of it I said I hope so because I don't want to be charged all the fees and then you get charged a additional 39.99 to do your state ok well on tax usa I do both of  my returns for 14.99 the fees turbo tax charged are beyond  outrageous especially for someone who has a very simple return to file I tried to get the loan and first of all was told kredit carma was unable to verify my identity and so I'm like what can I do they said nothing you have to wait until we update our software I said well why is it kredit carma sends me my credit scores different offers for credit cards but they say they can't verify my identity all of a sudden so if they could not verify my identity then they should not have been sending me nothing my account should have been closed down with no way to access it until they were able to verify my identity I believe people got tricked into filing with them with them advertising this loan you could get in a few hours after your return was accepted because I heard alot of people saying they had been waiting days with no answer about this loan I think they had a certain criteria that people had to meet because they didn't post it because people would not have used them because they would not have been eligible I did request a refund and Im still waiting for a response of course but if you owe them money they are quick to collect it I feel like I was given the big run a round and there fees are outrageous alot of people said the same thing I could have went to h&r block did my taxes and got a loan for the sane price turbo tax charged me I didn't need no fancy software to do my taxes those deluxe packages are for people who have deductions ,tax credits,more complicated tax returns they need to file so you file your taxes with them I got all the way to the end then I had to choose a different way to get my refund like direct deposit. They know people are not gonna want to have to go file there taxes all over again so they will just file even if they could not get the loan  I'm sure alot of people filed with TurboTax thinking they would have that loan pretty much right after there return was accepted like it advertised but people were still waiting days later because they never got there loan I honestly would never use TurboTax again long time customers said the same thing about them anyways I'm gonna wait a couple more days and if I don't get a response then I will contact the media and to whomever until my complaint is resolved to my satisfaction I am extremely upset because I feel like turbo tax was very dishonest with about there products and advertisements I know it was a holiday weekend but I am expecting a response I'm not gonna give up I'm gonna continue with the dispute if I have to file it over and over until it gets resolved I will update my feedback once I get a response so good luck to everyone else

You can file a report with the better business bureau you can contact the media because other people will start speaking out trust me you can get online and learn exactly who to contact and how to deal with your complaint you can even contact a attorney they will tell you who to contact and how to get your money refunded because they count on people just getting frustrated and giving up and that's not me I will exhaust every possible avenue before I will even consider giving up I am not gonna just allow them to keep my money when obviously there software is the problem I will stand strong..
