1. NOTE: I am using TT desktop as my primary tax program.
2. I managed to efile my taxes via TT but the crypto part is incomplete because the desktop TT would not let me electronically upload all my crypto transactions (> 500).
3. So my solution was:
a) use the online TT version to access my crypto account
b) use the SUMMARY buys/sells information and entered it into my TT Desktop.
4. My question now is - aside from manually entering every one of the >500 crypto transactions - is there a way to just print out that information from the ONLINE TT file I still have and send that to the IRS.
5. The only other solution I can think of is via DESKTOP TT manually enter all 500+ crypto transactions as part of an amended tax return sometime before April 15, 2023.
6. I fig if i manually enter every week it wouldn't be terrible but ofc looking for a better solution that this.

Did all of the transactions get uploaded to the online version?
If so, you could print that out (from the PDF) and mail it to the IRS.
How to mail in your transactions details
At tax time, you can subtotal your SELL transactions by Sales Category.
Note: only SELL transaction are reported.
IRS requires Box C/F details (crypto) to be listed on your own Form 8949, (as you mentioned, but you do not AMEND)
or on your other forms (e.g. spreadsheets) which have the same information and in the same manner as Form 8949.
Adjust your csv files so the columns are in the same order as on Form 8949.
Put a header with your name tax year and SS Number.
Either way, mail the transaction details to the specified IRS address.
The details are to be postmarked within three business days after you are ACCEPTED.
Update: you're supposed to use Form 8453 as a cover sheet.
Form 8453 is not to be signed.
2021 Form 8453 is now a prior year tax form.

this is where all my crypto transactions got pulled into tt online right? can’t i just print just this form out or not poss?
You can't print your tax return from TurboTax Online unless you pay for TurboTax Online.
Even if you pay again, you may find the Forms 8949 are not complete.
Alternatively, you can download your tax work from TurboTax Online to your hard drive and open that, separately, in TurboTax desktop, then Print. There is no charge.
Shortly TurboTax Online will shut down for 2021.
