So I think I messed up. I filed for direct deposit like I have done for the past 4 years. I didn't realize my card does a deposit limit. Now I freaking know why they say refund can be split into 3 account 🤦♀️. Wasn't thinking at all and was excited to file my taxes. It's over $16,000. Will IRS convert it to a check automatically or will they try to deposit it first and then send a check? What can I do

If your refund can’t be deposited you will receive a check.
Will they attempt to send it direct deposit? Doesn't that take longer wait time for the check to be printed and sent ?
Yes, and yes.
Uuuugh. Crap! Thank you for the help.
Yes if the bank rejects the deposit the IRS will mail a check to the address on your return. It will delay your refund.
