COVID-19 Stimulus payment

I filed my tax with turbo tax last February as a married filling jointly. I was on H1B at the time of filling my taxes and my wife and oldest kid were on H4. They did not have SS number at that time, but they had ITIN.

I have four kids (three of them are US citizens).

Later in March my wife and my kid received their SS number then in the first week of April the three of us got our Green card application approved.

My understanding that IRS is using the tax filling data to determine the eligibility for the stimulus payment and since my wife had ITIN at the time of filling we all will not receive anything. is that correct?

should I amend my tax filling to update the forms using my wife and oldest kid SS number.

Thanks

You can either amend or wait till the next year 2021 when you file your 2020 tax return.
