Do you have a TurboTax Online account?

We'll help you get started or pick up where you left off.

I Efiled my taxes but I made a huge mistake I had both last years and this years W2 together and I accidentally used last years W2. What do I do?

I just filed it has not been accepted by IRS yet, I amended it online but I don't see a change.

Okay, the first thing you need to do is to wait to see if the returns will be accepted or rejected. If they are rejected, then you can login to your account, and removed the data that is incorrect and then refile the returns. If the returns have been accepted, then you will need to file an amended return using 1040X for the federal and then your states amended return form.

I know you state the you e-filed and amended return, but amended returns do not get e-filed. They need to be printed and mailed out.  Please click the link below to be taken to the 1040x help page:https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3288565

You should not try to amend your return until the original return it has been fully processed and you have received your refund or your payment has cleared.Amended returns do not “catch up” to your original return and replace them; they are processed as two separate returns.

Amended returns have to be printed and filed by mail.  It can take the IRS up to 12 weeks or longer to process them.   If you are due a larger refund than on your original return, your amended return should only show the difference and you will receive a separate check for it.  If you owe money on your amended return, it will show only the new amount owed, you will have to mail a check with the return.

Even if it was accepted through Turbo Tax but not through the IRS yet? There is no way that can be fixed before IRS gets a hold of it?

So when I clicked to amend that did not go through then?

Correct. Once you hit submit then there is nothing you can do until the IRS either accepts or rejects the return.
