Colorado E-file missing check boxes

After E-filing my Colorado state return from Turbotax desktop on March 1 I checked the result at Colorado Revenue Online (colorado.gov/revenueonline) and found it marked with a red exclamation point, indicating that it had a problem.  Clicking through my filing I found that Form 104 Line 33 was 0 or blank so that I was not getting the state sales tax refund to which both Turbotax and that form's instructions said I was entitled.  I also noticed that online there was an unchecked box above Line 33 for me to claim this refund, a box that does not appear on the Turbotax version.  I finally amended my return directly on Colorado Revenue Online, which enabled me to check that box and to have my sales tax refund populate Line 33.  In the process I also found that I needed to check several other boxes that the Turbotax upload had left unchecked to remove the red exclamation point and get the state to finally accept my return.  These other boxes mostly pertained to verifying things like the name I gave was my legal name and my address was my legal residence.  Turbotax needs to validate their State of Colorado upload!

I applied to TurboTax for a refund of the $25 I spent trying to E-file my Colorado return only to have it NOT copy over to the the Colorado Dept. of Revenue website correctly.  TurboTax (Intuit) declined and left me no way to appeal.  Apparently all of their advertising about guaranteed accuracy and backing up their customers doesn't apply to state returns.  What a dishonest waste of $25!  I guess I'll go back to using H&R Block at Home next year.

I had the exact same problem. I checked the DR 0104 Colorado form that I printed from Turbotax online and the State Sales Tax Refund value is filed in correctly. I checked the same form (as PDF) on colorado.gov/revenueonline and the field is $0.00. Not sure where the disconnect happened. Did Turbotax not send the form correctly or did Colorado revenue not process it correctly? Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be anyone that can help. I wanted to avoid going through the amend process, but might have to.

OK, just got off the phone with a rep at the Colorado Dept. of Revenue (after waiting 90 minutes), and she said that it was a known issue that the online version might be missing some fields. I asked her to look at the Turbotax form that I submitted and she said it showed the correct Sales Tax Refund. She sent me a letter via the Correspondence section (under MORE...) of the https://www.colorado.gov/revenueonline website that displayed the "Period Summary" for my 2022 income tax. This summary showed the correct information. So I feel a little better. I want to say the rep was very friendly and helpful, so it was worth the wait.

Your experience sounds similar to a friend who filed his Colorado income tax electronically from TurboTax, never looked at how it showed up in Colorado Revenue Online, and indeed did have his state sales tax refund included in his state income tax refund.  So what you found is that the error flags and blanks we both observed in Colorado Revenue Online after uploading from TurboTax don't matter and our Colorado returns ultimately get processed correctly.  That's good to know but not obvious.  It turns out that fixing my return online was not difficult, just disconcerting.  Still, TT and Colo. Dept. of Revenue need to get together and fix this to avoid confusing and wasting the time of other taxpayers.
